Initial Report-Train Derailment near Hazelton, KS (Panhandle Subdivision)

On Monday, February 12th, 2024 at approximately 05:05 a.m. CDT, we received a preliminary report of a train derailment near Hazelton, KS which has affected both main tracks. Hazelton KS is approximately 270 miles east of Amarillo TX. BNSF field personnel are responding to assess the derailment site. The time for opening of the main tracks has not been determined at this time.
