Final Report : Train Derailment - Socorro, NM (El Paso Subdivision)
On Monday, March 25,2024 at approximately 11:03 p.m. CDT, we received a preliminary report of a train derailment near Socorro, NM which affected the main track. Socorro, NM is approximately 76 miles south of Albuquerque, NM. BNSF field personnel has assessed the derailment site. The main track was returned to service on Wednesday, March 27,2024 at approximately 05:34 a.m. CDT.
